Sara Demos, trustee
Sara grew up in York, Maine and began her journey into the arts in high school, performing and co-designing multiple York High School theater productions.
She went graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a BA in theater, class of 2013.
Focused on design, Sara spent a lot of her time in the UNH costume design workshop and collaborated with designers for a handful of theater productions. She created original costume designs for “Sila,” – an original production.
She moved from southern Maine to Conway, and worked for several years in retail while developing her small homestead. In 2018 she started taking piano lessons with Justin Ramos at Mountain Top. As she learned more about music composition, she drew on her love for electronic music and learned how to use DAWs (digital audio workstations). She began using digital instruments and incorporating them into her own compositions. She released a few electronic ambient tracks on SoundCloud in 2020 and began to explore mixing and recording. Using both Ableton and Serato software she composes sets and also uses video editors to accompany each with visuals.
In 2019 Sara joined Mountain Top’s marketing committee, and later became an advisor to the board in 2022. She is now a member of the Events work-group and was installed as Trustee in 2023.
She and her husband maintain their home and small farm in Fryeburg, raising heritage chickens and turkeys. As a multi-media artist, she incorporates her love of nature and animals into the digital world through social media.
